GOURO TRIBE  CENTRAL WEST OF THE IVORY  COAST…This is a ritual ceremony before the funerals, to honor their loved ones that have passed away.   The women are presenting everybody’s  contribution to the funeral.  Such as rice, yams onions, cassava, lamb, and much more….. to the guest from different states and towns. The families of the deceased will get more gifts later on.   They are singing a gospel like song.  This ceremony is equal to a kwanzaa Celebration in the United States.

SUNSHINE AWARD CEREMONY 2008 Mamadou Dahoue is being awarded the title of Cultural Ambassador Of The Ivory Coast, and also receiving  the highly respected Sunshine Ward.

DANCE AND MASK FESTIVAL Takes place in the west part of the Ivory Coast.  It  attracts thousands of tourist every year.  The festival is organized to promote the culture and keep it alive.

DANCE TIMO It is a story telling dance.  The instrument used can be found in Cuban Music.  It is to promote balance in women and men.
